We do it like it's a sport!
We are Scrap-a-Holics!
We actually love all things crafty and that is why Skyview is the place you want to come for your scrapbook, card making, sewing/quilting, or other crafting retreat. From top to bottom this place was designed with you in mind. We want to make your crafting weekends as easy, hassle-free, and productive as possible.
Let us pamper you by taking care of all the cooking and cleaning for a change! Our "open-house"style weekend retreats (called "Crop at the Top") are perfect for when you want dedicated time to get caught up on projects or to try out something new. We offer 3 day (Friday - Sunday) and 4 day (Thursday - Sunday) retreats. You can also book your own private retreat at Skyview (see our rates and reservations page for availability).
For one flat price your weekend includes: lodging, work space, access to the tools and supplies in the work room, drinks, snacks, and meals starting with dinner on the first night and then breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the second an/or third night, and breakfast on Sunday). All you have to do is show up and get to work. If this sounds like your kinda crafting weekend, register for one of our upcoming events.
Catering to small (up to 9) and large (up to 17) groups of crafters is our specialty. We want to make your weekends as convenient and effortless as possible so each station includes the following:
PERSONAL WORK SPACE
A COMFY CHAIR
A FEW EXTRAS
THE WORK ROOM
A 4-foot table to work on all your projects and a trash can.
A rolling chair makes it easier to get in and out of your station. The mesh back gives good support and helps the chair "breathe" so you are comfortable longer.
An adjustable OttLite provides the best possible light. You can see colors as they actually are.
Extra storage shelf, mobile/electronic charging station, tool caddy for loose tools, and more.
We have a dedicated work room which doesn't take up space in the crafting area. This is where the tools and supplies are stored so you have more room at your station. We have areas for cutting, laying out, and assembling your projects. We have 2 big shots and lots of stamps, dies, punches, embossing folders, scoring boards, and more!
In case you run out of some of your basic supplies, we have a "store" that is stocked with basic supplies and some essentials such as card stock (black, white, and a few other colors), Tombow glue, dimensionals, "snail" adhesive and refills. Change is limited and we accept electronic payments as well with a 3% electronic payment fee added to the price.
Whatever type of event you are looking to have and whatever your need is, our mission is to accommodate you. From demonstrator down line meetings, to customer appreciation events, to private scrapbooking weekends to product sales events ("parties") we can make your event a unique and memorable experience. Below are just a few of the extras we can offer.
Looking to learn a new technique or want to gather with new and old friends for a class on making home decor projects, hand-made gifts, cool art projects, and much more? Our private classes give you the chance to learn a new crafting skill, meet new friends, or just enjoy a fun and different night out. This option is offered based on demand and the cost will be determined by the project instructor/demonstrator.
Don't want the hassle of cooking or cleaning or having to assign teams for meals and clean up? This optional service will provide you with an on-site host who will take care of the shopping, prepping, cooking, and the clean up during your entire event. You can ask anyone who has taken advantage of this option - it will provide your group with the ultimate crafting retreat experience.
